Silvio Borer is passionate about data analysis and quality assessment. He is a Senior Applied Research Engineer with many years of experience in algorithm development, particularly for video quality assessment.
He graduated in mathematics and received a Ph.D. degree from the Laboratory of Computational Neuroscience, EPFL, Lausanne.
Silvio is actively participating in ITU-T standardization activities, currently in virtual and extended reality work items, and over many years in video quality assessment as a main contributor to ITU-T Rec. J.341, ITU-T Rec. J.343.1, and ITU-T Rec. P.1204.4.
