You can use the request string
"SOURce:VOLTage:PROTection:TRIPped?"
For example
"INSTrument:NSELect 2
SOURce:VOLTage:PROTection:TRIPped?"
requests the state of channel 2 after preselection
while
"SOURce:VOLTage:PROTection:TRIPped? (@1)"
requests the state of channel 1. This command's extension "(@x)"may not work on some devices depending on the FW version.
