Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport Deploying the Rohde & Schwarz QPS Walk2000 for Walk-through Security Screening of the Airport’s Workforce.

Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has selected the Rohde&Schwarz (R&S) QPS Walk2000 walk-through scanner to support high-volume security screening at its employee screening checkpoints.

Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) has announced that Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has purchased and is deploying up to twelve (12) R&S QPS Walk2000 walk-through scanners to screen aviation workers, entering the secure areas of the airport, for metallic and non-metallic threats, weapons and contraband.

Business Development Manager for Emerging Technologies. “The system’s proven millimeter wave (mmW) technology delivers the precision and high-volume screening needed by DFW and US airports to implement efficient and cost-effective employee screening and streamlines security screening by eliminating required removal of most coats and outerwear”.

The R&S QPS Walk2000 was developed specifically to support high-volume security screening in a wide range of operations requiring rapid and accurate screening for metallic and non-metallic threats, contraband, explosives, drugs, 3-D printed weapons, ceramic blades and other prohibited items. The system’s detection software has been optimized for avation worker screening and eliminates required removal of employee badges, nametags, outerwear and belts supporting efficient aviation worker screening, especially during shift changes.

The R&S QPS Walk2000 security scanner joins the widely deployed and Transporation Security Administration (TSA) Qualified R&S QPS201 Ultra High-Definition (UHD) Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) body scanner that has been certified by US and international aviation regulators and is in use in airport security screening operations around the globe.
