O-RAN fronthaul conformance testing

O-RAN, with option 7-2 split, enables the disaggregation of Radio Access Networks. Along with the opening towards network equipment from different vendors, it becomes crucial to determine the interoperability and fronthaul conformance according to the O-RAN Working Group 4 specifications of these devices. Rohde & Schwarz together with VIAVI enables O-RU verification by offering a complete test and automation system. This consists of VIAVI’s TM500 O-RU Tester, the R&S®SMW200A high-performance vector signal generator and the R&S®FSVA3000 signal and spectrum analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz.
