Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a new Business Development Manager position based in Canada that will be part of the North American Security Scanner Business Development team. The North American security scanner team at Rohde & Schwarz provides an exciting opportunity, and offers a unique blend of cutting-edge technology and critical societal impact. As a Security Scanner BDM, you'll have the chance to work on state-of-the-art security scanning solutions that play a crucial role in safeguarding public spaces, transportation systems, and critical infrastructure worldwide. This is a customer facing role that will directly contribute to enhancing security and protecting lives. The security scanner team provides a dynamic and fulfilling environment, where innovation, problem-solving, close collaboration and teamwork, and global security concerns intersect.

Your tasks

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market needs throughout the US and Canada
  • Identify and target potential clients in various sectors (e.g., airports, government buildings, critical infrastructure).
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business development goals.
  • Create and manage a sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and demonstrations of security scanners.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to align client needs with product offerings

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and/or sales within the high tech industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with security scanners or related technology is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the North American market, particularly Canada.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
  • Current North American Resident required, Canadian citizenship required.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the US & Canada to customer sites, with some international travel.
