Rohde & Schwarz presents a unique solution for OTA tests on 5G NR base stations in the FR2 range. The new R&S®FE44 frontend modules support up-/downconversion of lower-frequency IF signals to RF. This enables low-loss transmission of 5G signals since the frontend modules can be mounted close to the measurement antennas in OTA chambers. Together with the R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator and the R&S®FSVA3000 signal and spectrum analyzer, this setup provides a cost-efficient solution for 5G RF characterization tests.
