Rohde & Schwarz provides a wide variety of customized integrated logistics services (ILS) and service solutions that the company organizes in collaboration with its customers. Ensuring and providing optimized support solutions is based on the disciplines of the ILS concept and the setup of the Rohde & Schwarz internal service capability (service transition).

The company follows the guidelines defined in international ILS standards such as DefStan00-60, MIL STD 1388 and ASD specifications (S1000D, S2000M and S3000L) to ensure that the system design and logistics support concepts offer the best possible balance between system performance, supportability and lifecycle costs. Furthermore, Rohde & Schwarz systems support capabilities are defined and implemented in accordance with the ITIL standards, including service transition, service delivery and a customer service desk.

In view of the complexity and variety of the Rohde & Schwarz systems, it is essential to consider the entire period of service. The period itself includes an ILS as well as an in-service support (ISS) phase – both have a major influence on the future serviceability of each individual system. Rohde & Schwarz offers a customer-oriented ILS concept that ensures that a capability is established at customer sites as part of the overall ISS solution. To ensure customer satisfaction, all activities related to the ILS and ISS concepts are developed in close coordination with the customer, taking lifecycle cost optimization into account.
