Rohde & Schwarz USA is seeking a sales professional to join our team as a Global Strategic Account Manager, responsible for managing key accounts based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you’ll work as part of a customer-centric team, focusing on in-depth account analysis and coordination across multiple sites. As the customer’s primary strategic contact, you’ll handle high-level account matters, lead contractual negotiations across multiple locations, and drive forward looking discussions. We’re looking for someone with proven sales experience at large wireless accounts, who can deliver exceptional value to both our customers and Rohde & Schwarz regarding major account development.
Your tasks
- Located in the Bay Area, you will work with Account Managers both locally and abroad to coordinate and drive the strategic direction for R&S
- Build relationships within designated customer accounts to further our cooperation, future support requirements, and product planning
- Host regular meetings (remotely and in-person) to bring international sales teams together on important topics for the accounts, working ultimately to put R&S in the best position to be a long-term successful partner
- Communication in this role is vital. You will act as both a leader and central point of contact, internally and externally, for given customer’s topics, updates, and direction.
- Track and explore the customer’s technical applications to best position Rohde & Schwarz solutions to meet their long-term needs for digital, power, electrical and RF engineering customers
- Direct engagement with R&S Munich headquarters to provide regular account updates, customer feedback and ultimately driving next steps with R&D, product development, market segment and technical support teams
- This role requires in-field customer engagement where a candidate will be expected to visit customer sites across the globe – travel expected 35%
- You will constantly be learning new customer needs, required technical standards, and our competition’s positioning.
