We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented National Application Engineer for Vector Network Analyzer Applications. As a National Application Engineer, you will support the growth of our VNA business, train new AEs on using VNAs, and increase the utilization of our VNA demos. This position will work with market-leading customers across key test and measurement market segments, including Wireless, Aerospace & Defense, and Semiconductors. The role will focus on high-level VNA measurement applications, including signal integrity, phased array antennas, on wafer, and mm-Wave. The candidate can be located anywhere in the continental US and will join a team of experienced application engineers working to solve our customers' toughest measurement challenges.
Your tasks
- Support high and mid-range performance VNA growth initiatives for all R&S key market segments including Wireless, Aerospace & Defense, and Semiconductor.
- Responsible for testing and introducing new options, new measurement techniques, new calibration approaches, and new firmware releases.
- Collaborate with product planning team, sharing customer feedback and market trends, providing inputs for the VNA roadmap and future products.
- Work regularly with the VNA Product Management and Business Development team to discuss plans, customer and AM activities.
- Become aware of the competition’s strengths and weaknesses, to provide the proper positioning of the R&S VNA solutions.
- Play a key role in new product introductions.
- Support AE training on VNA topics and measurement science.
- Working closely with Account Managers and Regional Managers at target accounts.
- Document demo activity in CRM database.
- Put together demo guides and VNA scripts to increase demo effectiveness.
- Deliver compelling demos that solve customer problems with our VNA solutions
- Support major trade shows.
- Train sales force at regional meetings.
- Travel to HQ in Munich Germany for training and engagement with product divisions.
