The ability to store, share and interpret a large number of data sets on the digital battlefield calls for sustainable solutions to effectively protect this data in information spaces.

SOVERON stands for fully integrated, high-performance and scalable trusted communications solutions for all branches of the armed forces. SOVERON enables customers’ digital sovereignty and gives them the greatest possible independence from manufacturers.

The prerequisite for digital sovereignty is technological independence. Technological independence is a core value for Rohde & Schwarz. And it is a vital part of what we offer customers and other industrial companies.

The philosophy of strengthening customers’ digital sovereignty is realized in an open waveform development environment. This environment is what makes it possible to develop a national, autonomous waveform and makes our customers independent. During the initial phase, Rohde & Schwarz will train and support the customer, even in-country, until full autonomy is achieved.

The process has already proven itself in the German SDR program, where proprietary waveforms of third-party OEMs have been ported to achieve backwards compatibility. Modern SCA based waveforms have also been integrated.
