Broadband directional antenna, ideal for EMC measurements

The linearly polarized R&S®HF907 double-ridged waveguide horn antenna is a broadband, compact transmitting and receiving antenna for the frequency range from 800 MHz to 18 GHz. High gain and low VSWR allow measurement of weak signals and generation of high field strengths without any significant return loss. What sets the R&S®HF907 apart from conventional broadband horn antennas is its radiation pattern that contains only a single main lobe over the entire frequency range with no appreciable side lobes. The antenna is ideal for use in EMC laboratories.

Features & benefits

Wide frequency range

Only one antenna needed for entire frequeny range

The antenna covers the wide frequency range from 800 MHz to 18 GHz. As only one antenna is needed for the entire frequency range, the measurement time as well as the overall measurement costs are considerably reduced.

High and constant gain

For measurement of weak signals

The design of the antenna provides high and constant gain over the entire frequency range which permits the measurement of weak signals such as in EMI measurements.

Low VSWR

For generation of high field strengths

The low VSWR permits the generation of high field strengths without any significant return loss. This makes the antenna suitable for EMS measurements.

Radiation pattern has only one main lobe

Directional pattern for precise measurements

The antenna design causes the radiation patterns in the E and H planes to contain only one single lobe over the entire frequency range, with no appreciable side lobes. The directional and unambiguous radiation patterns provide precise measurement results.
