Log-periodic HF antenna for very high-sensitivity radiomonitoring

The R&S®HL410A3 log-periodic HF antenna can receive horizontally polarized waves and detect very weak signals over short, medium and global distances. The vertical pattern is shaped taking into account the transmission characteristics in the ionosphere. The antenna frequency range, environmental data and size can be adapted as required. The half-power beamwidth of the horizontal radiation pattern by about 70° can be enhanced up to 360° with five additional antennas. The antenna can be combined with the R&S®HL210A3 log-periodic HF antenna to receive vertically polarized waves.

Features & benefits

Extremely wide frequency range

Saves money and maintains performance

The R&S®HL410A3 covers the extremely wide frequency range from 1.5 MHz to 30 MHz, saving money and space that would be needed to mount a multiple antenna system.

Reception of even very weak signals

For high-sensitivity radiomonitoring

The sophisticated antenna design can receive very weak signals over short, medium and long distances, enabling extremely high-sensitivity radiomonitoring.

Small antenna size for 1.5 MHz to 30 MHz range

To reduce costs for antenna site

The advanced antenna design is compact for the frequency range covered (width and length of antenna array approx. 88 m x 94 m, height of supporting mast approx. 66 m), reducing antenna site costs.
