Oscilloscope software

The R&S®RTO/RTP-K130 option combines the R&S®RTO/RTP-B7 pulse source and the analog input channels of the R&S®RTO or RTP oscilloscope to create a time domain reflection (TDR) and transmission (TDT) analysis system that helps characterize and debug signal paths, including PCB traces, cables and connectors. The option allows both single-ended and differential measurements (only with RTP).

Single-ended and differential TDR/TDT

The R&S®RTO/RTP-B7 pulse source provides a highly symmetrical differential pulse signal with a steep rise time of 22 ps. This enables either single-ended or differential time domain reflection (TDR) and/or transmission (TDT) analysis with the R&S®RTP. The R&S®RTO only supports single-ended TDR/TDT measurements.

Guided operation

The TDR/TDT wizard guides users through the test setup calibration based on the selected measurement type (TDR, TDR/TDT, TDT) and configuration (single-ended or differential). The wizard then uses illustrations to help with the test setup and parameter definition for the measurement.

Fully integrated

The R&S®RTP-K130 TDT/TDR analysis option and R&S®RTO/RTP-B7 pulse option are fully integrated in the oscilloscope graphical user interface. The pulse option includes all the calibration and measurement accessories, such as shorts, 50 Ohm terminations or cables. The R&S®RT-Z17 low-loss and phase-matched cable pair is required for differential measurements.
