Oscilloscope software

All Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes can help trigger and decode I2C as well as 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire SPI buses. The same is true for UART and of RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 buses, as well as I²S audio standard, left and right justified and TDM signals. Furthermore, R&S®RTP and R&S®RTO6 oscilloscopes can help trigger and decode any Manchester and NRZ coded serial protocol with data rates of up to 5 Gbit/s, including Manchester violation detection. You can set up decoding in seconds. For detailed analysis, results can be viewed as color-coded telegrams and/or in a table. Errors are identified efficiently and reliably with the hardware-accelerated trigger. You can trigger on start, stop, address, data and various error conditions.

From the app cockpit, any protocol can be configured in only a few steps. Once the bus to be decoded has been chosen, the connected channels selected and the correct levels set, decoding begins automatically.

Color coded telegram display

You can analyze the decoded bus frames by overlaying the signal with color-coded data. Address and data content can be displayed in hex, bin and ASCII format. The flexible screen setup always gives you an excellent overview. The telegrams can also be displayed in a concise table.

Stronger trigger capability

The protocol-specific trigger lets you reliably isolate protocol events and errors. High acquisition rates make Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes ideal for finding errors quickly. Protocol-specific trigger results can then be decoded.

Search and navigate in recorded acquisitions

Powerful search and navigation capabilities
 

Comprehensive search functions simplify the analysis of long signal sequences. Search for waveforms based on various criteria, such as signal faults and protocol content. All detected events are shown in a table with timestamps. The individual events can be examined in a zoom window with simple navigation between events.
