The ATC (Air Traffic Control) System Engineering team at Rohde & Schwarz is dedicated to developing innovative solutions that enhance air traffic control and safety. This multidisciplinary team combines expertise in systems engineering, software development, and telecommunications to design and implement advanced air traffic control systems. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry best practices, the team ensures reliable communication, surveillance, and data processing capabilities that support efficient and safe air traffic operations in the US. As an intern in the ATC (Air Traffic Control) System Engineering team at Rohde & Schwarz, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and enhancement of advanced air traffic management solutions. Your responsibilities may include supporting system design activities, testing and validation as well as documentation.

Your tasks

Support the Upgrade of our R&S Air Traffic Control demo room, which is used to present the R&S ATC portfolio to customers
Test and verify the correct functioning of the ATC demo room and coordinate efforts within the team to solve identified issues
Create a video which shows the correct operation of the ATC demo room to R&S sales team (instead of a manual to read)
Support the ATC system engineering team in different engineering activities for ongoing customer projects
Make a competitor analysis for the US market

Your qualifications

Rising Jr or Sr year in and Engineering field
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Passion in system engineering
Interest in software and hardware
Interest in RF technology
Basic understanding of IP technology
Summer resident of the greater Columbia, MD area. We are unable to provide housing or relocation for summer interns
US Citizenship or permanent residence required #LI-DNI

This is an hourly position, paying $22-$27/hour, minimum of 30 hours per week.
