R&S®CA120 is a flexible and automatic multichannel solution for detecting, classifying and processing radiocommunications signals. R&S®CA120 supports a wide spectrum of applications ranging from manual signal processing and analysis of an individual signal to fully automatic recognition and processing of signals in a wideband signal scenario.
Spare operators routine work
When encountering unknown signals, R&S®CA120 provides the user with a powerful classifier to automatically detect and recognize modulation type and transmission system. While monitoring, the classifier can detect known signal types and will report any signals that it does not recognize as "unknown".

Online analysis of hopper signal scenarios
R&S®CA120 features a powerful detector for short-time signals in the HF and VHF/UHF frequency range. The detected short-time signals are automatically analyzed, sorted and matched to transmission system profiles and can be recombined to a continuous signal.

High speed spectral shape search
The spectral shape detector is designed to search for known and unknown signals with spectral pattern matching. It is very fast and customizable when searching for user-specified signals of interest. The matching algorithm makes decisions based on several criteria in a comprehensive decision matrix, enabling the reliable assessment of similarities between input signals and shape description sets.

Automatic signal processing for reduced user workload
R&S®CA120 combines signal detection with configurable, rule based, loss-free automatic processing (classification, demodulation, decoding, content recovery, recording) of communications signals.
User-specific expansions
R&S®CA120 enables integration of user-programmed modules for signal processing (receiver driver, demodulator, decoder). As a result, users can independently deploy their expertise in solutions. R&S®CA120 is available as a programmable sensor subsystem for system integrators providing access to all functions, including detection of fixed frequency and short-time signals, spectral shape detection, classification, demodulation, decoding and recording.
