Portable antenna for locating transmitters and interference sources

The R&S®HE400 handheld directional antenna is used together with an analyzer or receiver to detect and locate transmitters and interference sources in the frequency range from 8 kHz to 8 GHz. The antenna is optimized for use with the R&S®PR200 portable monitoring receiver, the R&S®PR100 portable receiver and portable spectrum analyzers. The antenna consists of an antenna handle, cable sets and antenna modules. Seven different antenna modules are available, allowing the reception of vertically or horizontally polarized signals. A built-in low-noise amplifier (LNA) can be activated to increase system sensitivity. An integrated electronic compass delivers exact azimuth and elevation data.

A switchable built-in low-noise amplifier (LNA) provides optimum sensitivity in active mode and wide dynamic range in passive mode. This enables antenna use for different applications.

Unique and sophisticated bearing detection mode for highly accurate results enables quick localization of signal sources (with R&S®HE400CEL, R&S®HE400SCB).
