Advanced interference hunting and emitter location
R&S®MobileLocator enables detection and automatic location of a transmitter from a moving DF vehicle for the first time. The compact DF system with the R&S®PR200 portable direction finder can transform a commercial vehicle into a DF platform for the frequency range from 9 MHz to 8 GHz in minutes. The R&S®MobileLocator can be used in dedicated DF vehicles and helicopters when combined with other Rohde & Schwarz direction finders.
Homing in on a transmitter
Since tall buildings can reflect or obscure signals, the vehicle needs to be moving no slower than walking speed to provide bearings to the R&S®MobileLocator. The R&S®MobileLocator filters all available bearings, saves relevant DF results and uses statistical analysis to determine the most probable signal direction and position. The result is continually updated and displayed on a map.
