EMC emission testing for aerospace and defense

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) emission requirements for components and sub-systems according to MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160

Components and devices for use in military, space or aviation systems need to meet the extremely high requirements for conducted or radiated electromagnetic emissions, as defined in MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and associated standards. This includes the testing of on-board transmitters for satellite and ground communication, self-defense, monitoring and surveillance and commercial technologies such as 5G mobile radio in military and aerospace systems.

Your challenges:

  • Detect electromagnetic emissions rigorously, to ensure all emissions conform to MIL-STD-461 CE101, CE102, CE106, RE101, RE102, RE103 or RTCA DO-160 section 21.0 standards being tested to
  • Automating the measurement process and documenting the measurement results
  • Servicing and calibrating test systems and equipment while maintaining the availability of the test system in accordance with ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025
