Basic, solid performance network analysis

The base model of the R&S®ZND network analyzer performs unidirectional measurements up to 4.5 GHz. The R&S®ZND can be expanded to perform bidirectional measurements and its frequency range can be extended to 8.5 GHz. The large R&S®ZND touchscreen is easy to operate and ideal for S-parameter measurements, even when many diagrams are needed. Time domain measurements can also be added for even more functions.

Flexible test set

The R&S®ZND test set can be configured to individual requirements. The test set can be set up for unidirectional operations or extended for bidirectional operations, depending on user needs. The frequency and power sweep ranges can be easily extended.

Large display and clearly structured user interface

The 12.1" touchscreen is large enough to clearly show several diagrams on a single screen or  all measurement details. The flat user interface menu structures allow for efficient measurement setups as well as uncomplicated and quick measurement starts.

SCPI recorder

Simplifying test automation for complex measurements

The R&S®ZND SCPI recorder automatically generates SCPI command sequences from user instrument operations. Captured command sequences can be exported in different programming languages such as C++, Python and MATLAB® and be directly used. The R&S®ZND SCPI recorder is a powerful tool to implement test automation for development, verification and production. It simplifies implementation of complex measurements  and optimizes workflow efficiency.

Easy test ports extension

Measurements up to 24 ports

The number of ports of a bi-directional R&S®ZND can be easily extended when used in combination with the R&S®ZN-Z84 switch matrix. The R&S®ZND provides a comprehensive solution for multiport modules or multiple devices with up to 24 ports. Automatic calibration unit, R&S®ZN-Z154 enables quick and accurate setup calibration for up to 24 ports. Additionally, when equipped with the SNP assistant measurement wizard, the R&S®ZND-K100 option intelligently guides the user through all the required measurements with minimal and optimal reconnection steps. The measurement result is conveniently generated in the end as a higher order Touchstone file.

Deembedding options

Enhanced tools for in-fixture and PCB testing

The R&S®ZND supports various embedding/deembedding techniques that can be used to eliminate the effects of different test fixtures and precisely characterize the DUT.  Supported deembedding algorithms are fully integrated into the R&S®ZND user interface and are based on industry-recognized techniques in line with IEEEP370. Options includes:

  • EaZy deembedding (EZD, R&S®ZND‑K210),
  • In-situ deembedding (ISD, R&S®ZND‑K220), 
  • Smart fixture deembedding (SFD, R&S®ZND‑K230) and
  • Delta-L PCB characterization (SFD, R&S®ZND‑K231)
