I have an external monitor connected to the ZVA/B but I can only use a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
How can I change the display resolution when I use an external monitor?
To use the ZVA/B with an external monitor and a resolution higher than 800 x 600 pixels, please proceed as follows:
- Connect the external monitor to the ZVA/B
- Connect a mouse to the ZVA/B
- Switch on the device
- Wait until the device has booted completely
- Minimize the analyzer window
- Make a right click with the mouse in the Windows area
- Select 'Properties' => 'Settings' => 'Advanced' => 'Intel Graphics Technology' => 'Graphics Properties ..'
- Select 'Monitor' and 'Activate Monitor' and 'Apply'
- Confirm the Change Desktop popup window
- Now only the external monitor should be active
- Close all the properties windows by selecting OK
- Click once more with the right mouse button in the Windows area. Under 'Display Mode' => 'High color' you can now select the resolution you want.
Note: If you shut down the ZVA/B with this setting, disconnect the external monitor and switch the ZVA/B on again, the ZVA/B will automatically boot with the internal monitor setting. But the ZVA/B will remember the setting used with the external monitor. The next time the external monitor is connected, the ZVA/B will boot with the external monitor setting and use the higher resolution selected by you.
