Key facts
The R&S®HK055S1 omnidirectional broadband antenna covers the extremely wide frequency range from 27.5 MHz to 600 MHz. It is designed for transmission and reception with multiband, multirole radios (MMR). The antenna has outstanding characteristics; no tuning equipment is required, making it ideal for hopping and for multichannel operation. The antenna can be used in semi-mobile applications, especially on board ships.
For multiband applications
The R&S®HK055S1 covers the extremely wide frequency range from 27.5 MHz to 600 MHz. This enables state-of-the-art multiband, multirole radios to operate with a single antenna.
For use on board ships
Despite its low frequency limit, the R&S®HK055S1 is very compact, enabling the antenna to be used on board ships or wherever space is tight.
For reliable communications
The R&S®HK055S1 has a fully passive design and does not use any tuning equipment. Also, no attenuators are used to improve VSWR, since this would reduce efficiency.
Meets highly demanding applications requirements
The R&S®HK055S1 is designed for use under severe conditions. The material and sturdy design enable use even on naval ships.
For unlimited use in most surroundings
The R&S®HK055S1 has been successfully tested for the wide temperature range from –40 °C to +85 °C, enabling the antenna to be used in almost all climates.
