Key facts

  • Excellent broadband characteristics
  • Virtually frequency-independent radiation pattern
  • Only one antenna required to cover a wide frequency range
  • Sturdy construction
  • Suitable for mobile use

Optimized for radiomonitoring and measurements

The R&S®HL223 log-periodic antenna covers a very wide frequency range from 200 MHz to 1.3 GHz. The antenna is optimized for radiomonitoring and measurements. The radiation patterns are virtually frequency-independent and the sturdy design makes it suitable for stationary and mobile use. Individual calibrations in line with ANSI C63.5, CISPR 16-1-6 and SAE ARP958 as well as accredited calibrations are available on request.

Features & benefits

Very wide frequency range

Only one antenna needed for entire frequeny range

The antenna covers a wide frequency range from 200 MHz to 1.3 GHz and supports different applications such as radiomonitoring as well as measurement. As only one antenna is needed for the entire frequency range, measurement time and overall costs are considerably reduced.

Virtually frequency-independent radiation pattern

Stable radiation patterns over the frequency range

Due to the design of the antenna, the radiation patterns in E and H plane are virtually frequency-independent. This leads to an uniform illumination of the DUT over the whole operating frequency.

Sturdy construction

Support of stationary and mobile applications

The high-precision and sturdy construction means the antenna can withstand the toughest environments, making it suitable for a wide range of stationary and mobile applications.
