The R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator together with the R&S®Pulse Sequencer software package is a powerful off the-shelf radar signal simulator. It simulates radar RF signals transmitted from single or multiple moving or static platforms and enables receiver tests with maximum realism long before they are deployed in an operational mission.
The R&S®AFQ100A baseband generator and the R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator are used to generate a 39 GHz carrier frequency signal for the transmission. The R&S®FSW signal and spectrum analyzer downconverts the received signal and provides digitized I/Q samples to an external software tool to calculate channel impulse response and channel transfer function.
