System Development : Senior System Software Tester (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Analyzing unit, module, and integration test results to understand the current state of the naval communication software.
• Leading the creation of comprehensive test plans and naval communication scenarios to evaluate the overall system’s functionality and performance.
• Conducting thorough system tests to identify any defects or issues that may arise when different components interact.
• Recording and reporting any system-level issues or bugs found during testing to the development team.
• Working closely with developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the system meets all specified requirements.
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency and coverage of system testing.
• Evaluating the results of system tests and providing detailed feedback on the software’s overall quality and performance.
• Verifying that the system complies with industry standards and meets the needs of end-users.
• Providing guidance and support to junior testers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level (CTAL), Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA).
• Strong understanding of software development processes and system testing methodologies.
• Ability to identify and document even the smallest system-level issues.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving complex system defects.
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment in German and English language.
• Familiarity with various system testing tools and automation frameworks such as Selenium, Squish or Cucumber.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
