Key Facts
The R&S®RTP, R&S®RTO and R&S®RTE oscilloscopes support triggering and decoding of SpaceWire data and communications buses. You can set up decoding in seconds. For detailed analysis, results can be viewed as color-coded protocols and/or in a table. Errors are identified efficiently and reliably with the hardware-accelerated trigger. Trigger on control frame, data pattern, NULL frames, time codes and error conditions.

From the app cockpit, any protocol can be configured in only a few steps. Once the bus to be decoded has been chosen, the connected channels selected and the correct levels set, decoding begins automatically.

You can analyze the decoded bus frames by overlaying the signal with color-coded data. Address and data content can be displayed in hex, bin and ASCII format. The flexible screen setup allows you to always have an excellent overview. The protocols can also be displayed in a concise table.

Reliable isolation of protocol events and errors is possible with the protocol-specific trigger. Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes are ideal for finding errors quickly because of high acquisition rates, allowing decoding of protocol-specific trigger results. Hardware-based triggering on specific protocol content (addresses or data) is available as well as on protocol errors.

Powerful search and navigation capabilities
Comprehensive search functions simplify the analysis of long signal sequences. Search for waveforms based on various criteria, such as signal faults and protocol content. All detected events are shown in a table with timestamps. The individual events can be examined in a zoom window with simple navigation between events.
