The R&S®ESME wideband monitoring receiver performs reliably even in high density signal environments, whether for ITU-compliant spectrum monitoring and radiolocation or for generating multiple high precision digital data streams for further analysis and content production.

Superior RF performance in dense spectrum environments

The R&S®ESME makes an excellent trade off between linearity and sensitivity to reliably detect weak signals among strong unwanted ones in crowded spectra. Preselection filtering with filter banks and tunable bandpass filters over the entire frequency range help prevent intermodulation from strong out-of-band signals.

ITU-compliant measurements

R&S®ESME performance is in line with all relevant ITU-R recommendations. The optional R&S®ESME-IM option allows for ITU-compliant measurements of signal parameters such as bandwidth, center frequency and modulation depth.
 

Cutting-edge signal measurements

The R&S®ESME has a comprehensive tool set for any signal measurement:

  • Parallel time and frequency analysis in zero span mode
  • Polychrome spectrum for detecting superimposed pulsed signals
  • Trace recording and replay
  • Automatic record and replay of I/Q data under various trigger conditions 
  • Parallel multichannel signal analysis and detection with R&S®CA120;

Direction finding and radiolocation

The R&S®ESME for precise direction finding or radiolocation:

  • Accurate angle-of arrival (AoA) direction finding with R&S®ADDx single channel DF antennas
  • Mapping functions with automatic triangulation
  • AoA DF error correction
  • Support of TDOA with internal GNSS module
