The R&S®FSMR3000 measuring receiver is a complete solution for calibration and performance checks of signal generators and fixed or adjustable attenuators.
The R&S®FSMR3000 is a microwave measurement receiver to calibrate signal generators and attenuators with one single instrument. Most important features provided are tuned RF level measurements, level measurements, analog modulation and spectrum analysis. Additionally, the R&S®FSMR3000 can be equipped with powerful hardware for high-end phase noise test supplementary to the standard phase noise test with the spectrum analyzer. It offers also digital and analog modulation signal analysis, 80 MHz analysis bandwidth, analysis of pulses and VOR/ILS signals. The R&S®FSMR as a single box instrument is designed to reduce complexity in calibration.

Excellent linearity and level stability and high tolerance with respect to frequency drift and residual FM
The R&S®FSMR3000 eliminates potential level errors by using adjacent range calibration. As a result, users benefit from the instrument’s high linearity of <(0.009 dB ± 0.005 dB/10 dB step) across the entire level range.
Tuned RF Level Measurement at 2.4 GHz
No additional power meter is needed, The R&S®NRP power sensors can easily be connected and are automatically recognized by the instrument.
The R&S®NRP50T covers the whole frequency range from DC to 50 GHz and power sensors with a built-in power splitter simplify setup and testing since the DUT does not have to be repeatedly connected to the power sensor and the RF input of the R&S®FSMR3000. The R&S®NRP-Z27/-Z37 power sensor modules are available with a built-in power splitter for the R&S®FSMR3000.
Measurement of modulation depth, frequency deviation and phase deviation with < 0.5 % measurement uncertainty
The R&S®FSMR3000 features a complete, integrated modulation analyzer for the AM, FM and PM analog modulation modes. Audio parameters are measured on the demodulated signal. Various audio filters, deemphasis functions and detectors are available for audio analysis.

The R&S®FSMR3-B1 option transforms the measuring receiver into a full-featured signal and spectrum analyzer to measure TOI, higher harmonics, noise figure or phase noise. Beside spectral mesurements, 80 MHz wide digital modulated signals can be analyzed, pulses or VOR/ILS signals.

High sensitivity through cross-correlation, high speed and parallel measurement of amplitude and phase noise due to real demodulation.
The R&S®FSMR3-B60 option turns the R&S®FSMR3000 measuring receiver into a full-featured phase noise analyzer. Due to its excellent internal sources, a second RX path allowing cross-correlation and largely digital architecture, the R&S®FSMR3000 is extremely fast and sensitive. It directly demodulates the signal using the CORDIC algorithm, enabling AM and phase noise to be displayed simultaneously in a single diagram or in separate windows.
