Accelerate ADAS validation with hardware-in-the-loop radar testing

Presented by Dr. Alois Ascher, Rohde & Schwarz and Maximilian Saalfeld, Rohde & Schwarz

Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing is used to speed up the development of complex, real-time automotive systems in situations where using a complete vehicle is impossible, too costly, time-consuming or dangerous. HIL test setups use data inputs from physical devices such as radars and the operation of supporting ECUs and sensors are electronically simulated. It is an important step in the validation of automotive radar and critical for the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). To ensure quality, reliability and safety, it is necessary that the test hardware is scalable, accurate and compatible with all the necessary interfaces.

In this webinar, you will learn more about:

  • Automotive radar and HIL testing trends
  • The role of HIL in ADAS/AD development
  • Realization of an HIL test setup
  • Practical demonstration
