The R&S®CMXHEAD50 is the only remote radio head for signaling that offers bi-directional testing at five mmWave frequency bands and additional EVM booster ports - all within one hardware set. It covers all 3GPP frequency bands in FR2-1 between 22 and 50 GHz: n257, n258, n259, n260, n261 and even the new n262 frequency band that features 1000 MHz of bandwidth between 47.2 and 48.2 GHz. With active mmWave combiners from R&S up to four R&S®CMXHEAD50 can be combined to enable advanced scenarios such as interband carrier aggregation 28 GHz + 39 GHz.

Both downlink and uplink paths use separate local oscillators to ensure the best RF signal quality in the TX and RX directions. The R&S®CMXHEAD50 is the only RRH for full UE testing that supports all 3GPP frequency bands in FR2-1 in combination with individual external local oscillator (LO) inputs for both RX and TX. This enables further EVM performance improvements for cutting-edge RF measurements.
