Rohde & Schwarz supports the UNH-IOL in Automotive Ethernet testing services for OPEN Alliance TC9 test specificationTest and measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz extends its support to the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) with an extension to their compliance test services. As a result, UNH-IOL customers can now achieve compliance for automotive Ethernet cables and connectors (link segment) based on the OPEN Alliance TC9 working group test specification supporting both unshielded (UTP) and shielded twisted pair cables and connectors (STP).
The solution can be extended with the addition of control software, an oscilloscope and suitable fixture to conduct and in-depth examination of the DC-link capacitor. The video shows the various steps in the procedure including calibration, configuring the equipment, executing the measurement and analyzing the results.
