The R&S®Freerider 4 offers the high flexibility that is nowadays demanded from such a product, with its modular and powerful concept and for efficient, uninterrupted, and reliable data collection.
R&S®Freerider 4 includes a high-performance energy supply to power all mounted equipment.
All Rohde & Schwarz drive test applications, ROMES4, SmartBenchmarker and NESTOR are supported.

Extensive test mobile phone and unrivaled scanner support

The R&S®Freerider 4 supports up to 12 test mobile phones. Using an especially designed mount with quick-release function, the mobile phone can be easily detached for example to exchange SIM cards.
Also the R&S TSMx scanner family, TSMA6, TSME6 and TSME30DC, are supported and allows the measurement of GSM, WCDMA, CDMA2000®, 1xEV‑DO, WiMAX™, LTE, NB-IoT, LTE-M, RF Powerscan, CW channel power scan and 5G NR.

Professional platform for everyday use

Designed for usability and a wide range of environmental conditions

To ensure maximum autonomy, the R&S®Freerider 4 backpack system is equipped with an intelligent voltage supply with up to eight batteries, enabling hot swapping during operation. The batteries can be charged inside the backpack. The system can also be operated from an AC power supply or an optional DC/DC converter in a car.
The system has been designed for indoor and outdoor use.
Active ventilation with silent fans allows operation also in hot climates.
