This solution measures the performance of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver in a wireless device. This is critical because Assisted-GNSS is used for E911 emergency calls over 5G.

ARDRONIS WiFi detects drones that use standard Wi-Fi connections for uplinks and/or downlinks. The ARDRONIS Pan-Tilt Control option allows visual verification of drone detections and automatic alignment of directional antennas. The ARDRONIS GNSS option enables countermeasures against drones using autonomous navigation based on GNSS location data.

Rohde & Schwarz collaborates with Qualcomm to test 3GPP Rel. 17 GSO and GEO satellite chipsets for IoT-NTNRohde & Schwarz, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will conduct a comprehensive set of tests for NB-IoT over non-terrestrial networks (NTN) to accurately verify two-way internet of things (IoT) data across various operating modes using GSO and GEO constellations in line with the 3GPP Release 17. At the MWC Shanghai 2023, Rohde & Schwarz will hold a live demonstration of the test solution at the company’s booth with Qualcomm Technologies’ NTN Release 17 IoT chipsets.

Rohde & Schwarz first to test 5G eCall interoperability of Quectel’s 5G module with its wideband radio communication testerQuectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, and Rohde & Schwarz have successfully validated Quectel’s innovative 5G eCall module, part of the AG56xN series of automotive modules. For the test, the R&S CMX500 wideband radio communication tester has been used. The test setup will be shown at Mobile World Congress 2024.

Validate the performance of eCall modules with new GNSS performance test solution from Rohde & SchwarzRohde & Schwarz presents a new GNSS performance test solution to validate the performance of eCall modules. A new option for the R&S SMBV100A vector signal generator delivers standard-compliant, fully automated performance tests for the GNSS receiver integrated in the eCall module.
The video concludes with a summary of high-precision GNSS capabilities and challenges as well as the role of testing in ensuring reliability, particularly for safety-critical applications. High precision GNSS uses error correction techniques to improve locational accuracy to around 10cm, allowing new applications for the automotive industry, including C-V2X and autonomous driving.
